Just thinking that if you wanted more people to join and start a community you should think about talking to the people in #rubyonrails and #ruby-lang on freenode irc. Just a suggestion.

I might do that. I'm sure people would use these forums more if they knew they were around! :)

I wonder how easily we could get people to know the forums without it being considered "advertising." There is a fine line between the two.

Perhaps we could ask ruby-lang.org to put it under "Community"?

Some ruby sites have already linked to us. I would be afraid of advertising these forums in IRC because I don't want to violate any rules they have against that.

I'll e-mail ruby-lang and see if they will link to us.

I suspect (hope) that this place will get pretty popular pretty quickly. Ruby has been lacking something like this IMO.
