Hi everyone, I'm DarkRhystar.
I heard the term "Ruby on Rails" mentioned from a guest speaker at my University and decided to look into it. I've been playing with Ruby (without Rails) for a bit and I've found it to be simple, elegant in some respects, much akin to Perl in others (a good thing), and overall a lot of fun to play with.
As it stands I can only do rudimentary programming with Ruby, but I am looking to expand my knowledge of the language. I'm using it on a WinXP machine and running FreeRIDE and Eclipse with the Ruby plug-in as editors.
If anyone has any hints or tips and the time to spare to type them, I would greatly appreciate them. I look forward to learning a lot here and, though my knowledge is limited, I will do my best to help someone out when/where I am able to do so.
Have a great day everyone!
