I'm bored, finished some work on the Spacegame project and decided to post a poll. Which web browser do you guys use?

Firefox, of course! :)

IE isn't a bad browser through, its just been plagued with security issues that Microsoft isn't really willing to or able to fix in a quick fashion.

Another bad thing with IE is ActiveX. While the technology is good, the underlying Windows security model of "Run everything as Administrator" makes IE the platform of choice for worms, spyware, and such. I hear this is going to be fixed in Vista though.

Still.. Firefox rules :)

Since Opera was finally released for free (without Banners) I decided to try it out and I must say I'm impressed. Not enough to switch but it is a nice clean browser and after changing around toolbars and keybindings to be like Firefox I quite like it. I also think that the rendering engine is slightly faster, but since it's not Open Source it's not all that it could be. Overall quite nice though.

Eh, you never know, but as long as Microsoft keeps implementing propietary features and not going along with the W3C standards IE will never be a popular browser among developers (espcially where CSS is concerned). Hopefully IE7 fixes some things, but I hear, while they are going to implement CSS2 and (hopefully) parts of CSS3 they will be adding many unneeded, propietary features.

I sure hope they stop running Windows with default Admin (though it would break quite a number of apps) because that is a *gigantic* reason why Windows is so insecure (along with the general stupidity of some users: "Ooh flashy lemme click").
