The staff of OCS Solutions would like to extend our dearest sympathies and support for the victims of Hurricane Katrina that struck Mississippi, Alabama, and the New Orleans area.
We will be making a corporate donation to the American Red Cross to help with the immediate relief efforts, and will be expanding ways that both our customers and staff can help. I also want to encourage everyone to help however they can with this situation.
As some of you may know, our business offices (not our datacenter facilities) are located in Florence, Alabama, were directly under the eye of then Tropical Store Katrina. By the time it reached us, its winds had died down to 60 mph (about 100 kph), but it still packed quite a punch. Many in our town did without electricity for the evening of Monday, August 29th, 2005. However, we are not complaining. We were very lucky.
If any of our customers were affected by this, please let us know at support@ocstech.com and we will be glad to help make arrangements for you during this difficult time to manage your hosting.
Again, let me express our sympathies and wish the people affected by Katrina the best of luck and God's speed.
Sincerely,
Robert Oliver
President/CEO, OCS Solutions, Inc.
